Department Head
Eng. Jared Baraza is the head of the Access Networks department. He holds an Msc in Electrical Engineering, Diploma in Management, Advanced diploma in Wireless Networking, Advanced Certificate in Laser and Fiber Optics communication and a certificate in Hydraulic, Pneumatic and PLC Industrial Control systems .
Eng. Baraza has more than 20 years of experience in telecommunications. He worked as an executive engineer for Telkom Kenya (transmission and radio network planning) .
He also worked for the Ministry of Transport and Communications as an Electronics Engineer. He also has experience as a university lecturer.
Engineer Baraza’s areas of expertise include , radio network planning, optic fibre systems, wireless networking, protection systems , broadcast systems and quality systems audit.
