TRAINING OVERVIEW

This training program aims to equip country code registrars with comprehensive knowledge, practical skills, and best practices necessary to excel in managing domain registration processes effectively, complying with regulatory requirements, and delivering superior customer service. By the end of the training, participants will be empowered to enhance operational efficiency, mitigate risks, and apply innovation in their registrar operations. The training also aims at equipping relevant government agencies and the public in general  with knowledge about Country Code Top-Level Domains (ccTLDs).

TRAINING DELIVERY MODE

The training will be delivered in person employing a range of blended instructional methods including lectures, demonstrations, group discussions, simulations, and hands-on lab activities. To enhance learner engagement, the training will also include e-learning components allowing students to access additional content and complete quizzes.

TRAINING VENUE

Training to be conducted at AFRALTI, participants will also have a choice of stating at the Guest House for their own convenience.

The pure online class will take 20 days.

This five-day course provides a comprehensive understanding of managing and optimizing Internet infrastructure for registrar operations. Participants will delve into foundational TCP/IP concepts, including IPv4, IPv6, and DNS. The course covers the design, implementation, and management of fibre networking, along with various broadband wireless technologies such as WiFi, 5G, satellite networks, private 5G, and cognitive networks. Through practical insights and hands-on learning, attendees will gain the skills needed to effectively manage and enhance internet infrastructure to support and optimize registrar operations.
