The African Advanced Level Telecommunications Institute (AFRALTI) based in Nairobi, Kenya, is a leading Intergovernmental Organization and ITU Centre of Excellence. Mandated with the provision of Information and Communication Technology training and consultancy across English-speaking Africa, AFRALTI invites applications to fill the following vacant post.

Position: Business Development Assistant (BDA)

Job Title: Business Development Assistant

Reports To: Senior Business Development Officer

Station: AFRALTI, Nairobi, Kenya

No of Positions: One (1)

Role Purpose

To support AFRALTI’s growth by managing training programs (Huawei, CompTIA, PECB), assisting in business development, and coordinating marketing, client engagement, and social media efforts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Development: Assist in budget preparation, respond to course inquiries, provide sales reports, and support tendering processes.
  • Marketing & Client Engagement: Collaborate on marketing strategies, support events, and serve as the main contact for HALP-related queries.
  • Social Media: Curate and analyze content for AFRALTI’s social platforms.
  • Networking: Attend industry events and build relationships with clients and partners.

Minimum Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (Marketing), Sales & Marketing, Business, or related field.
  • Experience: 3–4 years in sales or client-facing roles; Sociology or Customer Care background is a plus.
  • Skills: Time management, client communication, computer proficiency, and interpersonal skills.
