Instructor Professional Development Workshop – University of Dar-es-Salaam Computing Center

The Cisco Networking Academy strives to provide professional development opportunities to all of its instructors. Many of the learning opportunities are self‐paced, while others are guided, allowing you to learn with your peers around the world.

Success in the classroom begins by recognizing that instructors have a minimal level of knowledge and skills required to teach students. Over time, the knowledge and skills required change for a variety of reasons, such as course revisions, introduction of new resources, and to keep pace as technology and certifications evolve. Instructors are encouraged to create their own professional training plan which should be reviewed and updated over time.

AFRALTI as the ASC for the region organizes such instructor workshops each year for academies it supports in the three countries; Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania. This year’s event in Tanzania was held on 25th and 26th February 2020 at University of Dar-es-Salaam Computing Center. This event brought together instructors from Tanzania. The focus for this year’s event was on the new CCNA Version 7.0 curriculum and new topics that have been added to the curriculum.
