POSITION: MARKETING COORDINATOR
Purpose of the Job:
The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and implementing AFRALTI’s marketing, communications, public relations, digital engagement, branding, and partnership visibility activities. The role supports the promotion of the Institute’s training programmes, research and innovation initiatives, consultancy services, and CCG services through effective marketing campaigns, stakeholder engagement, and strategic communications, while enhancing AFRALTI’s brand visibility and reputation across digital and traditional platforms.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
I. Internal and External Communications
- Develop and implement communication plans to support AFRALTI’s strategic objectives.
- Draft, edit, and disseminate institute communications including announcements, newsletters, brochures, reports, speeches, and promotional materials.
- Coordinate communication between AFRALTI and stakeholders, partners, clients, and participants.
- Ensure consistency of messaging and brand identity across all communication channels.
- Manage content development for publications and Institute marketing materials.
- Prepare success stories, case studies, and impact stories highlighting AFRALTI’s achievements and programmes.
II. Digital Marketing (Social Media & Online Presence): Digital Engagement and Content Management
- Manage AFRALTI’s social media platforms including LinkedIn, Facebook, X, Instagram, YouTube, and emerging channels.
- Develop and maintain a social media content calendar.
- Create, schedule, and publish engaging content to promote AFRALTI programmes, events, partnerships, and achievements.
- Monitor social media performance and prepare monthly analytics reports with recommendations for improvement.
- Grow online audiences and engagement through targeted campaigns, audience interaction, and content optimization.
- Coordinate website updates and ensure content remains accurate, relevant, and current.
- Support Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and digital visibility initiatives.
- Monitor online conversations and manage AFRALTI’s digital reputation.
III. Public Relations (PR): Media and Corporate Visibility
• Develop and maintain relationships with media houses, journalists, and industry publications.
• Prepare press releases, media advisories, feature articles, and media kits.
• Coordinate media coverage for AFRALTI events, trainings, conferences, and Institute milestones.
• Monitor media mention and prepare media monitoring reports.
• Support crisis communication activities when required.
• Identify opportunities to position AFRALTI as a thought leader in ICT, telecommunications, cybersecurity, and digital transformation.
IV. Partnership Management: Stakeholder Engagement and Visibility
• Support the coordination and visibility of existing Institute partnerships and collaborations.
• Maintain an updated database of partners, stakeholders, and collaborators.
• Coordinate joint marketing and communication activities with partners.
• Ensure partner branding and visibility obligations are fulfilled in accordance with partnership agreements.
• Support stakeholder engagement activities, meetings, events, and relationship management initiatives.
• Assist in preparing partnership communication materials and reports.
V. Design and Branding: Creative Design and Brand Management
• Develop and design marketing collateral including brochures, flyers, banners, presentations, certificates, newsletters, and promotional materials.
• Ensure compliance with AFRALTI’s brand guidelines across all communication materials.
• Coordinate production of branded merchandise and promotional items.
• Support photography, videography, and multimedia content creation for Institute activities.
• Maintain AFRALTI’s visual identity and ensure consistency across all platforms and events.
• Collaborate with service providers, printers, designers, and media agencies when required.
VI. Marketing Campaigns and Events and Branding: Campaign Planning and Execution
• Plan and execute integrated marketing campaigns to promote training programmes, conferences, workshops, consultancy services, and Institute initiatives.
• Develop annual and quarterly marketing plans aligned with business objectives.
• Track and evaluate campaign performance and return on marketing investment.
• Coordinate event marketing activities before, during, and after events.
• Support participant recruitment campaigns for training programmes and conferences.
• Coordinate webinars, public awareness forums, exhibitions, and promotional events.
• Maintain and update marketing databases for targeted outreach campaigns.
• Generate campaign reports and recommendations for continuous improvement.
VII. Perform any other duties assigned in support of the objectives of the Business Development Unit.
Candidate’s Profile
Minimum Qualifications & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Business Administration, Digital Marketing, or a related field.
• Professional certification in Digital Marketing, Public Relations, Graphic Design, Communications, or related disciplines is an added advantage.
• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in marketing, communications, public relations, or digital marketing.
• Experience managing social media platforms and digital campaigns.
• Experience in content creation, graphic design, and stakeholder engagement.

• Strong content development and storytelling skills.
• Proficiency in graphic design tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of social media management and analytics tools.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within teams.
