POSITION:TECHNOLOGY TRAINING ASSISTANT

Purpose of the Job:

The Technology Training Assistant will provide operational, technical, and administrative support to the Technology Training Unit, ensuring the effective planning, coordination, delivery, and expansion of technology training programmes.

The role will support training partnerships, end-to-end training administration, eLearning platform management, development of new training and academic products, proposal preparation, cybersecurity consultancy support, project coordination, and the promotion of training activities and services.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Training Operations & Coordination – Support the planning, scheduling, coordination, and delivery of technology training programmes. This includes facilitating communication between participants, trainers, the Finance Unit, and other internal departments; monitoring both physical and virtual training sessions; maintaining accurate training records; and supporting certification booking, documentation, reporting, and overall training administration processes.
  2. Training Partnerships Management – Support the management of relationships with accredited certification bodies and training partners by ensuring compliance with accreditation requirements, coordinating renewals and reporting obligations, and facilitating certification-related communications and processes.
  3. eLearning Administration – Support the administration of the Learning Management System (LMS), including uploading and organizing course materials, monitoring learner participation and performance, coordinating grading activities, collecting learner feedback, and generating training performance and evaluation reports.
  4. New Training & Academic Product Development – Support the development and rollout of new training academies and emerging technology programmes, assist in curriculum development processes, and coordinate with academic partners and relevant stakeholders to facilitate the introduction of new academic initiatives and learning solutions.
  5. Proposal & Business Development Support – Identify relevant training opportunities and support proposal development by providing technical input, assisting with budgeting and scheduling components, preparing supporting documentation, and following up on submitted proposals where required.
  6. Cybersecurity Consultancy Support – Support cybersecurity assessment activities, preparation of compliance and audit documentation, development of consultancy proposals, and implementation support for ISO certification and other cybersecurity-related consultancy engagements.
  7. Project Coordination – Support the coordination and administration of donor-funded and government ICT projects by monitoring project activities and timelines, preparing progress and performance reports, maintaining project documentation, and liaising with funders, partners, and other stakeholders.
  8. Marketing & Promotion Support – Support the organization and promotion of seminars, webinars, workshops, and technology forums; assist in the preparation of brochures, presentations, and marketing materials; update website and social media content; and contribute to client engagement and training promotion initiatives.
  9. Participate in engagements with clients, partners and stakeholders to support effective programme implementation and client engagement.
  10. Perform any other duties assigned in support of the objectives of the Technology Training Unit.
