Huawei and ATU agree to boost ICT development in Africa

Huawei and the African Telecommunications Union (ATU) on Monday signed a Memorandum of Understanding to advance ICT on the continent. The pact was made on the sidelines of an ICT training workshop co-hosted by ATU, African Advanced Level Telecommunications Institute, and African Media Initiative, in Nairobi, Kenya.
The Secretary General of ATU, Abdoulkarim Soumaila and the CEO of Huawei Kenya, Dean Yu, signed the MoU which includes partnership on ICT training, technical support to continental ICT development in Africa, ICT development and innovation, and contribution to the local, regional and international ICT policy and regulation.
