Join us for an exciting, new IEEE trial event in support of a virtual conference program being developed for the IEEE Africa community.

The technology community in Africa has been a key part of the IEEE activities landscape for several years. In particular, the IEEE Ad Hoc Committee on Activities in Africa has focused on nurturing membership development activities, increasing access to technical information, fostering the development of infrastructure for an engineering workforce, facilitating entrepreneurship, and stimulating research and development activities.

With that in mind, IEEE and IEEE Kenya Section will be conducting a three day virtual conference in the third week of January 2016. The content for this conference will include all available videos of talks from the recently held IEEE Online GreenComm event, sponsored by the IEEE Communications Society.

Attendees will watch presentations from IEEE Online GreenComm and be able to discuss ideas with fellow attendees throughout the event. After the event, attendees will be granted access to the virtual environment for a limited time to view the content again (or to view content they may have missed).

The virtual conference will be held from the 12th – 14th of January 2016 at the KENET Training Room, JKML, University of Nairobi.

Your participation is highly welcome. With your support, we may be able to provide this kind of access for our community for years to come.
